HealthChain is a project funded under the Interregional Innovation Investment (I3) Instrument. The HealthChain consortium consists of eighteen partners, led by Ticbiomed, which covers five regional ecosystems from different EU countries: Murcia (Spain), Centro (Portugal), Western (Slovenia), Primorsko-Goranska (Croatia) and East Netherlands (Netherlands).

Five regions will be adopting the HealthChain model, where end users and IT companies are working together to develop solutions for the challenges identified by the partnered Health Organizations (HO). Each HO also identifies two unmet needs that will be piloted by two digital SMEs awarded under the Financial Support to Third Parties (FSTP) procedure. In addition to these efforts, the HealthChain Community of Practice (CoP) will be set up to share expertise, lessons learned and resources to encourage other regions to learn about the HealthChain model and implement it with their own resources.

Sustainable Solutions as a project partner is responsible for supporting IT companies and FSTP SMEs, acting as an Ecosystem Supporter and representing the link between the Klinički Bolnički Centar Rijeka (KBCRi) and the business community. In addition, SS GIU will be a provider for the project’s risks and quality control and will be in charge of communication and dissemination tasks.
